Karen Talavera President & Founder

After twenty years in traditional and online marketing, Karen Talavera is a seasoned digital marketing expert offering over a decade of specialization in email marketing and online conversation channels. 

With a background rich in traditional direct response and database marketing, her career spans a wide variety of roles at major marketing services providers such as Experian, YesMail, and Acxiom leading up to the founding of Synchronicity Marketing in 2003.

Karen is a nationally recognized email marketing trainer.  In 2000 she launched and continues to teach the two-day Comprehensive Email Marketing Strategies seminar for the Direct Marketing Association (DMA).  She is also an instructor for the Association of National Advertisers and MarketingProfs.  Throughout her tenure teaching for these and other groups Karen has increased the email marketing knowledge of thousands of marketers from across all major industries.

Karen is also the co-founder (with Mande White) of High Altitude Marketing Academy, their new venture which provides training and coaching specifically for small businesses, solo-preneurs, independent professionals, and other solo experts often overwhelmed or underinformed about online marketing.  High Altitude Marketing Academy products, courses and coaching programs teach independent practice professionals and entrepreneurs how to launch and leverage digital marketing channels like email, social media, blogs and more to attract new customers and grow revenue.  The joint venture's first course, the Mile High Email and Social Media Flight Accelerator, was launched in 2010. 

Karen is an alumnus of the University of Michigan, speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys international travel.  In her spare time you’ll find her relishing South Florida life and pursuing one of her many passions including Latin dance, writing, yoga, outdoor sports and meditation.
